Ilhan Barutcu was born in Trabzon in 1956.He started music when he was very young.Then he started Istanbul University conservatory in 1979 and was graduated later.
His first music teacher was famous musician Mr.Fuat Turkerman.After his death Mr.Niyazi Sayin became the new one.
Ilhan Barutcu gave a lot of concerts nearly all over the world.
He has two music album's with the name of Ask-i Neyzen.He is married and has two children, son and a daughter.His daughter is also a student at the conservatory of Mimar Sinan University.
He is now in teaching in Trabzon University in Northern Turkey and visiting Scotland often to teach in Edinburgh University as a guest teacher.
